The history of Camping Le Bontemps

A unique park

Camping le Bontemps was started in 1976 by Monsieur & Madame Nardin. To begin with it was just a 3 hectare field with no vegetation. Monsieur Nardin, who even then had a real passion for plants, trees and gardening in general, planted the grounds with a whole array of different trees, shrubs and plants…today the grounds have matured into beautiful parkland.

The ‘zen’ garden also transmits this feeling of well-being and relaxation.

The campsite

The campsite has been developped over the years… In 1982 the tennis court was created, in 1983 the house with the reception was built, in 1990 the swimming-pool, in 1994 the duck pond and 1996 the entertainment hall…

The site itself has been extended times after adjacent land has been bought up.

Kawan Resorts le Bontemps was bought in 2008 by Sylvia & Christophe GAY, also owners of Kawan Resorts le Lac d’Orient in the Champagne region.

There are 167 pitches on site, all with electricity and some with water and drainage and 8 mobile homes.

In 2011 we have completely renovated the oldest sanitary block. It is now also heated in low season for the comfort of our guests. We have also extended our aqua park with the addition of water slides ( A 35 meters long “space gliss” and two 11,50 meters long “pentagliss”). The main swimming-pool is now heated at 28°.
